Quality Control Associate

Join our team as a Quality Control Associate and play a key role in ensuring the highest quality meal kits for our customers.
Location: Mississauga
Shift: Full-time schedule covering operational hours, with flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
About the Role
As a Quality Control Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our product quality control processes, working closely with the Warehouse team to ensure high-quality ingredients and products meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality control inspections on incoming products and inventory to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Work with the Warehouse team to achieve quality targets and perform regular inspections on packaged products for lot codes.
- Respond to quality and/or BBD issues on the production lines.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams in cases of product non-conformance and maintain a photo database of product non-conformances.
- Lead production associates for ingredient sorting.
- Perform quality control inspections on work-in-progress and finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency at designated ship out stations and complete logs and records as required.
- Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.
- Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences diploma.
- 6 Months to 1 year experience working in QC/QA in a food processing, manufacturing or service industry.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Experience with standing for prolonged periods of time, including regular bending, twisting and walking.
- Understanding of Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and GFSI schemes.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C).
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with MS Office, Google Apps and comfortable learning new technologies.
- Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert while multitasking in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills.
