Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and promoting company sponsor programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Transaction Processing: Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
  • Product Promotion: Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, to customers.
  • Assisting Customers: Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Store Safety: Ensure safe work practices are followed, including proper lifting and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Register Security: Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies, and awareness of surroundings.
  • Referring Issues: Refer any service or transactional issues to a Customer Service Manager as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous retail experience is an asset.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as sales or customer service, is preferred.
