Electrical Engineering Internship in Labrador City, NL: 4-month opportunity to research, design, develop, test, and maintain mining and mineral process operations.

We are offering a 4-month internship in Electrical Engineering based in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. This internship will allow you to be involved in research, design, development, testing and maintenance of aspects of mining, mineral process operations and capital project development and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and design electrical systems for mining and mineral process operations
  • Develop and test electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement electrical systems

Requirements:

  • At least one year completed in Electrical, Chemical or Control Engineering or any other related field
  • Uncompromising commitment to working safely
  • Leadership skills, eagerness to learn and ready for the challenge ahead
  • Solid team member with good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated rigor into the application of standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
