Quality Management Coordinator (QMC) Job Description

A Quality Management Coordinator is sought to support the planning, development, and delivery of research and evaluation activities in Mental Health and Addictions, Nova Scotia Health Authority.

About the Opportunity

The Quality Management Coordinator will be responsible for initiating and supporting evaluation and research into mental health and addictions through various activities, including:

  • Utilizing mental health and addictions information management systems
  • Coordinating and organizing program evaluations involving surveys, focus groups, and other data collection methods
  • Acquiring, appraising, and synthesizing academic and grey literature to provide guidance on best practices in research and evaluation
  • Preparing and managing databases for data collection during studies and evaluations
  • Writing reports summarizing research and program evaluation findings

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with:

  • MSc in Statistics, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, or Health Science/Social Science, or an equivalent combination of experience
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience, including applied analytic activities related to program development and evaluation
  • Expert level knowledge and skills related to data linkage, data analysis, statistical manipulation, interpretation, and knowledge translation
  • Experience in program and service development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience in using word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, statistical analysis, and reporting software and tools
  • Demonstrated expertise and understanding of mental health and addiction information systems

Hours and Compensation

This is a long assignment full-time position, 70 hours biweekly, approximately 18 months, with some travel required between sites. The hourly rate is $35.09-$44.09.
