The Relationship Management area plays a crucial role in enhancing the connection with State Street's existing clients to comprehend their requirements and suggest appropriate solutions to the company's operations. This position involves direct collaboration with business executives to ensure that services and operations provided meet the agreed-upon standards.

What will be your main responsibilities

As a VP Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Enhance and nurture client relationships, consistently monitoring their perception of our service quality (NPS score), partnering with business leads to maintain a strong focus on client service and needs.
  • Manage assigned clients to identify new business opportunities and foster existing revenue streams while safeguarding current revenue.
  • Achieve organic growth, new business revenue, and overall revenue targets with assigned clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales colleagues to communicate client needs, propose suitable State Street solutions, devise an engagement strategy, and ultimately boost wallet share and revenue for clients.
  • Develop account plans and deliver business insights to internal stakeholders for assigned clients, including pipeline updates, trends, and year-over-year analysis.
  • Maintain all relevant information for assigned accounts in SF360 CRM, such as account details, contacts, opportunities, meetings, provider insights, and campaigns.
  • Negotiate and finalize client contracts.
  • Implement marketing strategies in collaboration with various business partners to promote Company products/services and introduce new solutions to clients.
  • Ensure cohesive coordination of State Street Services to clients across different teams to deliver solutions effectively.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical service issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Lead coordination and communication across a cross-functional team, including sales, client service, operations, product, and finance, to provide a consistent client experience.
  • Assist with client presentations, meetings, product collaborations, RFPs, and sales activities.
  • Develop and report on client metrics and KPIs.
  • Manage Due Diligence Questionnaires for clients.
  • Coordinate necessary communications with clients for State Street, particularly regarding compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Ensure smooth client onboarding for new assets or risk management activities.

Educational and preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, advanced/graduate degree is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective meetings with various levels within client organizations.
  • Understanding of client business and ability to articulate the value of new products and solutions.
  • Preferably 15+ years of total work experience with 3-5 years in Financial Services, specifically in Relationship Management or Sales/Clients Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build client trust and relationships.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry.
