Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integrity Specialist to join our team at the Government of Alberta. As a Data Integrity Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the integrity of data within our systems, including the Provincial Client Registry, Provincial Provider Registry, and Delivery Site Registry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of data within our systems
  • Provide business user support to health records, registration, and other business stakeholders
  • Identify, investigate, and electronically resolve linkages, overlays, duplicates, and other data integrity issues
  • Use various tools to remediate data integrity errors and maintain or exceed established targets
  • Contribute to the overall management of client identification within the evolving Electronic Health Record arena
  • Participate in the Registries' testing phases with a focus on data quality
  • Analyze, evaluate, and develop business policies related to client identification practices and registration processes
  • Provide service desk support and respond to verbal and written client requests for assistance
Requirements
  • Related one-year certificate (e.g. Medical Terminology), supplemented by at least two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Experience in health records or client/patient registration field
  • Understanding and following registration best practices with a focus on data integrity
  • Strong knowledge of admissions/discharge/transfer systems
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Assets: 3-4 years working experience with provincial registration and records management practices
