CN seeks a highly organized and detail-focused professional to provide support to the Design and Construction and Public Works Engineering team. As Officer, Design and Construction Contracts, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and analytical support to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Your duties will include: • Maintaining the document control platform • Receiving, distributing, tracking, and monitoring incoming and outgoing drawings, specifications, and related documentation • Creating and maintaining document tracking logs • Assisting in daily activities associated with document management, including document retrieval, reprographic support, data entry, transmittal generation, document compilation, quality auditing of documentation, and report generation • Maintaining audit trails for all documents • Performing quality assurance on incoming documents • Processing all invoices • Reviewing work orders, change orders, and communicating with suppliers • Gathering all items after review and sending to various approvers for signatures • Developing good receipts for projects • Creating and processing all aspects of purchase orders including holdbacks and overruns in appropriate system • Processing work orders and maintaining a work sheet for all outstanding work orders requiring signatures • Providing oversight on all Engineering D&C and PW contractor spending to ensure process and controls are working as intended The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Document Control professional, preferably in the rail transportation or infrastructure sector. A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a college diploma or degree in Business, Information and Technology, Engineering, or a relevant discipline, is also required. Additional designations or certifications are considered an asset. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
