We're seeking a Part-Time Deli Team Member to join our team at Trader Ridge Food Store in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

New Horizon Co-op is a co-operative that does business differently, working together to serve Western Canadians and deliver profits back to our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
  • Prepare a wide variety of deli meats, cheeses, party trays, fresh salads, deli sandwiches, and hot and cold entrees
  • Maintain accurate pricing and proper rotation of deli products in coolers and retail areas
  • Ensure all deli products are properly displayed, covered, stocked, and labeled
  • Ensure excellent food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation
  • Execute store merchandising initiatives to offer customers additional products and services
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Enthusiastic approach to work
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) may be required
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Availability to work on a flexible schedule (morning and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends)
