We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Manager to join our team at Aecon. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating project activities, analyzing financial information, and collaborating with various teams to define, prioritize, and develop project schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate project management activities, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Collaborate with other project teams to define, prioritize, and develop project schedules.
- Review and analyze project performance and reporting to explain key metrics, including SPI indicators and commodity tracking.
- Develop and maintain detailed baseline or schedule change logs to ensure integrity of the performance measurement baseline.
- Align Aecon expectations with the program alliance to successfully incorporate progress data into the alliance reporting and decision-making models.
- Perform schedule quality analysis and risk analysis through QSRA approach.
- Update staffing plans on a regular basis and review and evaluate trends and their impact on project schedules.
- Support the change management process and registers.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery.
- 8+ years of experience in a related role.
- Post-secondary education in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience on an EPC project is an asset.
- Highly self-motivated team player with a participative management style and strong interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- People-oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with superior interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Commitment to working in a team environment.
