About the Role

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As an Environmental Scientist, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork, including groundwater sampling and installation of groundwater monitoring wells, soil characterization and sampling, soil vapor/indoor air sampling and remediation monitoring.

You will also be responsible for Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations, Confirmation of Remediation, Site inspections, Phase 1 Site Assessments, and compliance audit support. Additionally, you will oversee subcontractors, including drillers, utility locators, etc.

Other duties may include data management, writing and preparation of reports, work plans, letters, and memorandum, preparing cost estimates, conducting project-related research, and preparing periodic status/program reports.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field. You should have 3 years or more of related environmental work experience and a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for field work.

Key attributes include strong attention to detail and accuracy, good communication, interpersonal and writing skills, effective time management skills, strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), a commitment to Health and Safety excellence, and willingness to work independently in a field setting for extended periods of time.
