About the Job

The Lift Mechanic Journeyman is a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our lifts and equipment. If you're a skilled tradesperson with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities in the absence of the lead mechanic and lift supervisor
  • Inspect, repair and maintain the functional part of the lift
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions
  • Disassemble and overhaul equipment as required
  • Assist with planning and performance of maintenance activities
  • Perform all needed maintenance activities for the functional parts of lifts, associated buildings and ramps
  • Report to the supervisor, any maintenance activities performed
  • Advise supervisor of needed parts or supplies
  • Assist with training programs as required
  • Ensure that all related activities are conducted in a safe manner through sound judgment and knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
  • Journeyman Millwright Ticket (BC or Red Seal)
  • 3-5 years lift mechanic experience required
  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Electrical, welding and hydraulic experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to perform very heavy work (exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects)
  • Ability to work in all winter weather conditions for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
