Area Supply Attendant

BC Clinical & Support Services

Burnaby, BC

This position is located at BUH and provides support for Chenchenstway LTC, Eagle Ridge Hospital, Ridge Meadows Hospital, and other sites/services associated with these sites. Occasional travel between sites is required.

Under the direction of the Stores Supervisor or the Logistics Coordinator, this position is responsible for completion of all functions of stock maintenance, distribution and related data recording.


What you'll do

  • Counts, records and enters status of departmental medical/surgical supplies using computer system and/or hand held computer.
  • Performs various return functions as per established procedures.
  • Delivers and re-stocks/puts-away medical/surgical supplies to departments following established quotas.
  • Completes routine records by performing duties such as completing established documentation for direct (non-stock) supplies previously received in the system; delivers to appropriate department.
  • Enters requested requisitions into the computer as required.
  • Cleans carts, shelves and rotates stock in stores and assigned areas.
  • Maintains store room in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Performs routine clerical duties such as answering the phone, filing, and entering, editing, and retrieving data from the computer system.
  • Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts by counting items in inventory as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 plus six (6) months' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Job Type: Casual (Casual is defined as on call with no guaranteed hours. Shifts can be called out via short call (1-5 hours of notice) or pre-booked).
Wage: $24.34/per hour + 13% in lieu
Location: Burnaby General Hospital Kincaid St, Burnaby, BC V5G 2X6. This position is located at BUH and provides support for Chenchenstway LTC, Eagle Ridge Hospital, Ridge Meadows Hospital, and other sites/services associated with these sites. Occasional travel between sites is required.
