As the Education Centre Coordinator, you will coordinate the operations of our Education Centre in Whitehorse, match tutors and learners, develop and deliver literacy programs/tools, and support our mission to enhance literacy and learning opportunities in the Yukon. You will work closely with community partners, volunteers, and learners to create a positive and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the Education Centre.

Recruit volunteers and learners.

Collaborate with community groups and partners.

Provide training and support to volunteer tutors and learners.

Host tutor training and YLS orientation sessions.

Coordinate workshops and classes, including computer literacy as needed.

Manage client records and documentation.

Participate in yearly fundraising activities.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree in education or related field or equivalent experience.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to communicate and manage time effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based literacy tools.

Familiarity with database management and record keeping an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

Completion of a Criminal Record Check.
