Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Movement Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and engaging environment that encourages children to explore and develop their physical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement individual and group activities that promote gross motor skills and physical development.
- Assess and adapt curricula to meet the needs of students with disabilities or different physical abilities.
- Supervise students during high-risk activities and ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Use technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
- Early Childhood Certification or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Background or education in kinesiology is an asset.
- Alberta Child Care Certification Level 2 or higher.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Knowledge and understanding of children's gross motor skills and how to incorporate them into games and activities.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children.
- Ability to manage and supervise large groups of children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical labor, including the ability to lift up to 40lbs.
