About the Role: The City of Belleville is seeking a qualified Swimming Instructor to provide high-quality swim lessons to community members under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels.
  • Maintain a safe and vigilant environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with the Aquatics team to ensure the highest quality of programs and services.
  • Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns in a professional manner.
  • Report incidents, accidents, and concerns to the supervisor or on-call staff as needed.
  • Provide first aid treatment and documentation as required.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including report card writing and instructor worksheets, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 15 years of age.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR 'C' Certification from a recognized organization.
  • Current Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certification.
  • Availability for weekday, weeknight, or weekend aquatic programs.
  • Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor certification is considered an asset.
  • Previous Lifeguard experience is considered an asset.
