Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Program Team Manager, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration and interaction within the health care team, and participation in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate and interact with the health care team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Requirements

  • Recent Labour/Delivery/Recovery nursing experience or one (1) year combined mother-baby care experience required.
  • Recent Operating Room nursing experience preferred.

Education and Certification

  • Current College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) registration required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bilingualism required (ability to understand and speak English/French).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
