We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a General Merchandise Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-organized sales floor, and assisting with the sale of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
- Assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions.
- Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Sales Floor Maintenance
- Cover an assigned area(s) on the sales floor.
- Zones assigned area to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing environment.
- Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
- Recovery and Front End Support
- Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
- Assists with Front End coverage as needed.
- Team Collaboration
- Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
- Store Safety and Security
- Contributes to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
- Ensures displays and fixtures are secure.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.
