About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to join our Mine Engineering team at Taseko Gibraltar Mines. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide Geologists and technical staff in day-to-day operations.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements.
  • Perform reconciliation analysis between resources, reserves, mine, and mill numbers.
  • Control costs with respect to mine geology activities.
  • Interact with other Mine Engineering team members and operations groups to maintain daily production rates.
Requirements
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Geological experience mapping and logging of porphyry or similar deposit types is an asset.
  • Experience with 3D geological modelling and resource estimation is an asset.
  • Experience supervising others is an asset.
  • Strong interdepartmental communication skills.
  • Able to change and re-prioritize tasks as new information is gathered.
  • Strong ability to self-learn.
  • Able to work independently or within a group.
  • 6+ years of related experience, Open pit experience is preferred.
