In Human Resources (HR), we support a large, distributed organization with a range of services from our Talent & Compensation, Organizational Development & Change, Employee Relations and Investigations, and Organizational Health and Safety teams. About this role:

The Employee Relations Coordinator provides administrative support to the Executive Director Human Resources, Director Employee Relations & Investigations, Senior Manager, Employee Relations and LR Advisors and coordinates all activities within the Employee Relations unit. This position is responsible for researching, gathering and compiling information as assigned by the Director. The Coordinator composes or prepares various types of external, internal, and ministerial correspondence. Considerable judgement, tact and initiative are required to carry out tasks and projects.

There are two regular full-time positions available.

Position requirements:

Education and Experience:

Degree, Diploma or certificate in Human Resources or related field and 4 months of recent, related experience* in a human resources department e.g., full-cycle recruitment, labour relations, payroll and benefits etc.

Or

Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate with one (1) year of recent, related experience* in a hHuman resources department e.g., full-cycle recruitment, labour relations, payroll and benefits etc.

*Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last five (5) years and must include the following:

  • Experience in an administrative/clerical capacity e.g., composing and/or preparing various correspondence, reviewing and/or processing invoices, record and/or calendar management etc.

Preference may be given to those candidates with any of the following experience:

  • Experience in a human resources environment.
  • Experience with interpretation of HR policies and/or collective agreement language.
