YWCA Toronto is seeking a Relief Front Desk Support Worker to join our team at the Elm Housing program. As a key member of our front desk team, you will provide a welcoming and supportive reception service to tenants and guests, working within a collaborative team to create a meaningful and relevant environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage incoming calls and redirect them to the appropriate staff or departments.
- Ensure guests and delivery personnel sign in and out of the building.
- Handle client complaints and issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Monitor activities in and around the building via video surveillance.
- Report disturbances, vandalism, or other emergencies to the supervisor.
- Completion of an undergraduate university degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work).
- Ability to use equipment relevant to the position (e.g., computer, phone system, security monitoring).
- 1-3 years of directly related experience within supportive housing.
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience in de-escalating conflict and responding to crisis situations.
- Ability to interact with a diverse community of women, their families, and guests in a respectful and professional manner.
