Job Summary: Electrical Superintendent sought for heavy industrial contractor in Quebec, Canada, to lead field supervision and manage multiple projects.

As an Electrical Superintendent with Ganotec, you will play a key role in the success of our industrial projects. You will be responsible for supervising field staff, managing contract administration, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will also oversee project completion, turnover, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and develop junior superintendents
  • Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen, and laborers
  • Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
  • Develop and implement client relations programs
  • Initiate and attend meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning
  • Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
  • Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
  • Develop and implement project completion and turnover plans
  • Maintain daily diaries for record keeping purposes
  • Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural changes
  • Review and approve promotions up to General Foreman
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of construction experience, with 8+ years in an Electrical Superintendent/Leadership capacity
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes and software programs
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
  • Functional knowledge of English (written and verbal)
