Your mandate

As a Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst, the incumbent will spearhead and contribute to initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, streamline business processes, and assist in driving the adoption of a culture of continuous improvement within People & Culture.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Systems & Analytics, the incumbent's primary objective will be to drive continuous improvement within People & Culture utilizing Lean, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and end-user experience. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for creating and updating detailed process maps to visualize workflows and areas for improvement and develop and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to measure progress and success.

The Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to thoroughly assess People & Culture business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains, process improvement, optimization, and automation via Workday.

The Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst will be a solution-oriented, initiative-taking, purposeful professional who is passionate about driving efficiency and optimization within People & Culture (Human Resources) operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong business acumen and a passion for business process management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead process improvement initiatives or projects from initiation to completion, including project planning, requirements gathering, deliverables management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough process, data, and root cause analyses of People & Culture processes to identify trends and opportunities for optimization and operational efficiency gains that will enhance the end-user experience.
  • Apply continuous improvement and other methodologies (business analysis, change management, project management) to deliver process improvement initiatives that can be measured by appropriate process performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and establish process performance measures (KPIs) and monitor and analyze performance to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and business Subject Matter Experts to design end-to-end business processes and support related system design to ensure that Workday is configured as desired.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders, business partners, and subject matter experts to document and analyze end-to-end business processes using the best practices of Business Process Model Notation (BPMN), business analysis and process analysis.
  • Contribute to implementing and managing a Continuous Improvement Program within People & Culture, collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, People System & Analytics, Process Management Team, People and Culture and People System & Analytics leadership.
  • Contribute to developing and delivering an internally tailored continuous improvement training program and provide appropriate knowledge transfer and coaching to drive the adoption of a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support change management and communication activities and influence without authority to drive change and achieve desired results.
  • Integrate continuous improvement and creativity to draw on a range of working practices to develop solutions to complex problems in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
  • Experience with Process Design, Process Improvement, Process Performance Management, Systems Thinking and developing appropriate KPIs.
  • 5-7 years experience leading small to medium continuous improvement projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of processes within Human Resources or related functions are considered an asset.
  • Experience with modelling business processes end-to-end with BPMN 2.0.
  • Knowledge and experience with HR cloud solutions, eg. Workday, are considered assets.
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Certified Business Process Associate (CBPA), Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with business process modelling software, such as SAP Signavio.
  • Written and oral English is essential. Bilingualism (English / French) is considered an asset.
