About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide essential support to our physiotherapists and occupational therapists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Care
    • Ensure all clinical areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained, with appropriate supplies readily available.
    • Supervise clients during treatment activities, under the guidance of our therapists, and ensure they perform prescribed activities in a safe and appropriate manner.
    • Maintain effective communication with supervising therapists regarding patient progress.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support as required, including data entry, supply management, and scheduling.
    • Perform cross-functional duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our program.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
    • Completion of a recognized post-secondary Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant certificate program.
    • At least one year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of equipment and materials used in physiotherapy and occupational therapy treatments.
