Journeyman Electrician Job Opportunity Polar Electric: A Leading Electrical Contractor in the Greater Edmonton Area

Polar Electric is a reputable electrical contractor based in Leduc, serving the Greater Edmonton Area. We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team and contribute to the success of our residential renovation and construction projects.

About the Role

As a Journeyman Electrician with Polar Electric, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable installation and maintenance of electrical systems on various projects. You will work closely with a small team of electricians to ensure that tasks are completed on schedule and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, electrical supports, and lighting components
  • Splice, join, and connect wires, and test circuits to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical systems, and connect electrical power to various equipment and systems
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule
About You

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled electrician who is passionate about their work and committed to delivering high-quality results. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:
  • Journeyperson Electrician with residential construction experience (Apprentice Electricians with the right skills and experience will also be considered)
  • Red Seal Electrical ticket (ideally)
  • 3-5 years of experience working as an electrician on residential renovation and/or construction projects
  • Punctuality, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (helpful)
Working Conditions

We offer a Monday to Friday work schedule and a competitive compensation package, including base wages, overtime opportunities, and bonuses. You will also have access to a company work truck and gas card.
