Project Control Specialist

Aecon is seeking a skilled Project Control Specialist to provide project control support to ongoing projects and support the company's estimating and construction teams.

About the Role

  • Provide project control support to ongoing projects and ensure compliance with project controls standards
  • Develop and maintain the company's project cost control systems
  • Participate in proposal and estimating efforts to ensure continuity between project estimates and project baseline
  • Review project contracts and ensure all contract conditions are applied and fulfilled
  • Monitor project performance and ensure all project control systems are properly implemented
  • Generate project status reports for internal management and customers
  • Responsible for change management and communication with project staff
  • Review and analyze project control reports and suggest corrective actions
  • Prepare and update project cash flows and profit and loss statements
  • Provide input on project controls policy and guidelines

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of related experience
  • College and/or University degree in related field, or applicable work experience
  • Applied knowledge of Earned Value principles and Project Management and Project Controls principles
  • Ability to produce and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves/reports
  • Applied knowledge of cost engineering and cost control
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Organizational skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees
  • Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge
  • Detail oriented and customer focused
