Part-Time Liquor Store Associate job available at Otter Co-op's Angry Otter Liquor store in Vernon, BC, providing excellent customer service and supporting store operations.
Otter Co-op is a diverse and growing organization serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior since 1922. With over 100 years in business and over 1000 team members, we operate multiple stores, feed mills, petroleum facilities, restaurants, and gas stations.
As a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate, you will:
- Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous and efficient manner
- Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, and activate gift cards
- Ensure register drawers are balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
- Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves
- Receive, check, and put away deliveries
- Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
- Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
- Contribute to the team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners, helping to build, fuel, feed, and grow Western Canadian communities together.
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and have:
- Liquor retail experience (preferred)
- A Serving it Right license
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
- Problem-solving and quick learning abilities
- WSET 1 minimum accreditation (required within the first year of employment)
- The ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8-hour shifts
- A commitment to a SAFE working environment
- Open availability and the ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and late evenings
