Job Summary: The Epilepsy Nurse Practitioner RN(NP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. This position will provide advanced nursing support and navigate continuity of care for patients with epilepsy, including medically refractory epilepsy requiring epilepsy surgery. As well, patients may have other factors complicating their case, requiring knowledge of other epileptic conditions (e.g. autoimmune epilepsy, women with epilepsy, requiring management of epilepsy in pregnancy or catamenial epilepsy, psychiatric co-morbidites, including conversion disorder/psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, pediatric patients transitioning to the adult epilepsy program, with neuro-developmental conditions, genetic epilepsy, or epileptic encephalopathies).

Experience
- Experience in advanced nursing support and for patients with Epilepsy
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in Acute Neurology,
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a primary health setting
- Experience in advanced nursing support for patients with seizure disorders
- Three (3) full-time years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Master's degree in Advanced Registered Nursing
Licenses
- Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN(NP))
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
