OPO - Technical Lead - Cloud Native vDU

About this opportunity

Are you a skilled technical leader passionate about driving innovation in Cloud RAN software development? We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technical Driver to lead our efforts in designing and delivering cutting-edge 5G RAN features on Cloud Platform. At Ericsson, we are committed to revolutionizing connectivity solutions and empowering businesses with advanced technology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be accountable for delivering on time as per project plans
  • Resource and time planning for defined scope of the project
  • Effectively managing scope churn and priority changes
  • Defining project scope in detail and take total responsibility of delivery
  • Securing development of functionality and test coverage for epics
  • Driving all aspects of E2E product development flow with the program (systemization, development, test automation, release, maintenance)
  • Secure effective risk management and reporting
  • Continuously identify and drive efficiency and quality improvements

You will be expected to work closely with the other OPOs (Operational Product Owners), program managers and functional units within EU Cloud RAN and within other parts of Ericsson. A creative, collaborative and innovative mindset is a key for success.

  • Be a proven leader with a vision and a can-do attitude to make things happen
  • Have a proven track record of achieving delivery timelines and leading others to deliver on their accountabilities, while balancing cost, time to market, and quality
  • Have the relevant technical knowledge to lead the domain and build trust to drive it in a good direction.
  • Have a passion for identifying new ways of working (Lean, Agile & Beyond), organizing, and driving R&D efficiency.
  • Look for ways to do things differently, but not forgetting the strength of Ericsson.
  • You drive and embrace innovation and change with a collaborative mindset.
  • Knowledge about cloud-native development and a proven ability to interact with multiple interfaces and stakeholders

At a minimum, you will have:

  • Education: Degree / post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
  • Domain experience: Software engineering practices, RAN knowledge, Project Management, Operations, Cloud Native Competence is a major plus
  • Process experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in driving feature or product development
