We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cloud Software Developer to join a highly collaborative, innovative, and diverse team in an environment that encourages ideas and understands the unique value of everyone.


Role Responsibilities:
Cloud One is a SaaS product that provides continuous security, compliance, and governance for customer's cloud infrastructure.

As a part of the Cloud One team at Trend Micro, your role will be to lead a team responsible for the design, implementation, testing, deployment and support of high quality cloud-native services on AWS.


This is a technical leadership role requiring proven programming skills and software design abilities, as well as strong communication and organization.

The position involves collaboration with Development Managers, Product Managers and Project Managers, as well as other team leads.

As a team lead within Cloud One, in your day-to-day you will:
  • Lead the team's sprint/kanban process to achieve regular business and customer outcomes, including planning, retrospective and standup meetings
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the team's services and ongoing work for other Trenders
  • Stay up to date on the status of deliverables for ad hoc conversations with DM/PM/JM/etc, without micro
  • managing the team
  • Proactively flag conflicts and possible issues on development priorities and trade
  • offs to DM/PM
  • Take time for learning and continuous improvement, share those learnings with your team and the wider organization, and make space for your team to do the same
  • Contribute to organization processes, and help your team understand, follow, and improve them. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous product improvement.
  • Assist with hiring by conducting interviews and identifying gaps in skills vs team mandate.

Relevant technical experience:

  • Knowledge of Serverless concepts and AWS Services (S3, CloudFront, Cognito etc) or equivalent on other cloud providers
  • Experience with microservice architectures, REST API development and event-driven architectures-
  • Experience with automated Jenkins CI/CD pipelines or AWS Code Pipeline
  • Great scripting skills and a preference for automation over manual toil
  • Knowledge or experience developing secure code and/or working in a security space.
  • Programming experience with JavaScript, Java, Python or Golang
