The following qualifications are required: Job Description:The Department of National Defence (DND) requires the professional services of one Level 2 System Administrator with experience in supporting virtualization and cloud technologies to support the Exercise and Simulation (E&S) branch of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Aerospace Warfare Centre (AWC), located on the Shirley's Bay Campus in Ottawa, ON. The successful bidder will support the development, operation and sustainment of the E&S-managed Defence Secure Simulation and Training Node infrastructure (DSSTNi) Information System (IS), specifically through providing user-focused system administration. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: The Intermediate System Admin - Level 2 must have the following skills and experience:
  • Language(s): English
  • Security Clearance: Valid Secret (Level II)
  • The applicant mut have over 5 years of experience within the past 10 years of closing performing installation, upgrade, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems on physical and virtual computers.
  • The applicant must have over 5 years of experience within the past 10 years of closing performing installation, configuration and troubleshooting of virtualization solutions.
  • The applicant must have over 5 years of experience within the past 10 years of closing performing installation, upgrade, configuration, and maintenance of physical hardware on the network.
  • The applicant must have over 5 years of experience within the past 10 years of closing performing installation, upgrade, configuration and maintenance of user and group specific software over the network.
  • The applicant must have over 5 years of experience within the past 10 years of closing performing backup and recovery of information systems including individual machines and complete data centers.
  • The applicant must have 5 years of experience within the last 10 years of closing performing first line trouble shooting support for network infrastructure, connected hardware and packaged software.
