About the Opportunity

The Zone Secretary provides administrative support, often confidential, to the Eastern Zone Manager of Maintenance and Operations and their non-unionized Assistant Managers/Supervisors, within one of the four NSHA provincial zones. The incumbent functions as a point of contact for Maintenance and Operations, handling requests related to these departments. On an as needed basis, may also provide general administrative coverage elsewhere within the Maintenance and Operations portfolio.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

* Grade 12/GED required
* Graduate of a recognized office administration/secretarial program or or equivalent experience required
* Two years related experience required
* Ability to use Microsoft Windows and all components of Microsoft Office. Expertise with the development and maintenance of documents, spreadsheets and databases.
* Typing speed of 60 words per minute.
* Graduate of a recognized office administration/ secretarial program or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated planning, organizing, prioritizing, scheduling and time-management skills
* Demonstrated strong ability to use SAP Requisitioning & HRIS and Time Capture Timekeeping/Staffing duties
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships
* Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work independently
* Demonstrated attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, problem solve and utilize good judgment in decision making
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
* Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health
* Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
* Demonstrated good attendance in current and past employment
* Exemplary work history as demonstrated in current and past employment
* Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position

Hours
  • Short assignment, full-time position; 70 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Incentives

$ $27.53 Hourly
