Job Description - Core Function:

The Nutritionist evaluates the nutritional status of individuals and provides nutrition counseling and consulting to various groups. The role includes planning, evaluating, and conducting nutrition education programs for different audiences both individually and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food, or Nutritional Sciences
  • Completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship or a Master's Degree with approved competencies
  • Membership in the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association and Dietitians of Canada
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
  • First Aid Certification and CPR Certification are assets
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Understanding of human behavior in nutritional counseling
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Previous experience in community nutrition or public health is preferred

Conditions of Work:

The Nutritionist works in a clinical office environment during regular office hours, with occasional after-hours and evening programs.
