Job Summary

The Pharmacy Manager is a key leadership role at Walmart Canada, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department. Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and direct a team of pharmacists and technicians to achieve business objectives and provide excellent patient care.
    • Recruit, train, and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
    • Motivate and engage team members to achieve high levels of performance and job satisfaction.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, including inventory management, supply chain logistics, and equipment maintenance.
    • Ensure that the pharmacy is operating efficiently and effectively, with a focus on quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Customer Service and Patient Care
    • Provide excellent customer service and patient care, with a focus on building strong relationships with patients and customers.
    • Ensure that patients receive accurate and timely information about their medications and treatment options.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Business Development and Strategy
    • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability in the pharmacy department.
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve business objectives and improve patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Pharmacist license (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and logistics
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions
