- Provide a safe, secure, healthy, and happy environment for residents, staff, and visitors, leading to excellence and quality of care.
- Lead and support care, nursing, dietary, maintenance, and housekeeping staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Facilitate and promote an interdisciplinary approach within the home, working with nursing, dietary, recreation, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing and care staff to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a recognized school of nursing and currently registered Nurse (RN or RPN) with BCCNM.
- Two (2) years of nursing experience in the Continuing Care Sector, with a focus on dementia care and end-of-life care.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Commitment to excellence in care, with a focus on resident-centered care and person-centered care.
