About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Specsavers. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering central operations activities within our Canadian business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead New Initiatives: Develop and execute new projects and initiatives that align with our Annual Plan and business focus, driving operational excellence and improving customer experience.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Own the development, embedding, and evaluation of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency and quality across our Canadian operations.
  • Operational Governance: Attend key operational and governance meetings to communicate business information, identify risks, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Learning and Development, Clinical, Marketing, and Technology, to successfully launch and embed their initiatives in our stores.
  • Partner Communications: Collaborate with Retail Comms to ensure clear and effective partner communications that enhance partner performance on an operational and strategic level.
  • Operational Resources: Contribute to the development and maintenance of Operational Resources on our Store Intranet site, ensuring content is current and supports business operations.
  • Customer Journey: Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of our entire store customer journey and experience, from start to finish.
  • Partner Engagement: Proactively engage with partners and field teams to ensure you are well-connected and focused on business improvement and partner issue resolution.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with key suppliers that support store operations, such as our customer feedback platform.
  • Leadership and Influence: Role model and champion the behaviors and values that Specsavers stands for, demonstrating leadership and influence within the team.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in Operations driving projects and initiatives, with a strong track record of success.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build strong personal and meaningful business relationships, influencing and challenging to ensure the right business and customer outcome.
  • Problem-Solving: Good knowledge of incident and problem management, with the ability to think innovatively to resolve problems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and at all levels, adapting your communication style to suit the audience and engaging and presenting in a variety of different forums.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with a customer-centric approach.
