Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of rolling mill inspection and safety procedures
  • Understanding of rolling mill controls and tooling protection
  • Experience with measuring equipment and inspection records
  • Ability to operate rolling mill induction welding equipment
  • Good communication and mathematical skills
  • Ability to work overtime and assist with customer demands
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift license and ability to operate heavy lift trucks
  • Ability to follow written instructions and complete paperwork
Main Duties and Activities:
  • Responsible for part quality and cleaning of rolling mill
  • Ability to use hand tools and make minor adjustments
  • Monitoring oils and fluids levels
  • Ability to operate cranes and perform welding tasks
  • Knowledge of First and Last Off Procedure and roll tool setting
  • Assistance with tool organization and standardization charts
  • Contribution to regular production and area cleaning
  • Communication of issues and problems to area leaders
  • Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS and good organizational skills
