This role is responsible for implementing the end-to-end talent acquisition cycle, establishing business partnerships, and executing effective recruitment strategies to meet the needs of assigned client departments.

About the Job

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its Talent Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for various recruitment and selection functions, including sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing applicants, and extending offers of employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish trusted business partnerships with assigned client departments to understand their recruitment needs
  • Plan, develop, and execute effective recruitment strategies and operations
  • Conduct intake meetings, sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing applicants, and assessing their qualifications
  • Extend offers of employment and prioritize hiring to meet business needs
  • Review and analyze hiring statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Participate in special projects and outreach activities, and contribute to recruitment process improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Human Resources)
  • Several years of related recruitment and selection experience, including sourcing and attracting applicants
  • Thorough knowledge of current employment legislation and an understanding of recruitment and selection issues
  • Strong interpersonal, interviewing, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities, and well-developed organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer software related to work, including SAP Success Factors and Microsoft Office
