**Job Summary:** Supervisor position available at BC Liquor Stores, responsible for managing a major retail operation with sales over $3 million, ensuring good customer service, supervising staff, and maintaining store security.

About this role:

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Supervisor assists in the management of a major retail operation with sales in excess of $3 million. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring good customer service
  • Supervising staff
  • Developing teamwork and maintaining good staff morale
  • Assisting in controlling stock levels and stock variances
  • Ensuring acceptable levels of security in the store for both staff and physical assets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train staff to provide excellent customer service
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in managing store operations, including inventory management and stock control
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in labor relations matters and contribute to a positive work environment

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate
  • A minimum of 6 months of recent experience in a customer-facing, service-oriented environment
  • Preference may be given to those candidates with experience as a supervisor, in a retail or hospitality environment, or with experience in an environment with annual sales in excess of $1 million
