Join the fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative Specialty Solutions Marketing and Communications team at Intact.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and communications plans that support the company's Specialty Solutions business, capture growth opportunities and increase engagement among the teams and brokers.

The successful candidate will be a well-rounded generalist, with strong marketing and communications skills, consultative in their approach with a passion for writing. They will have some event planning and execution experience and have impeccable attention to detail. The ability to think creatively and strategically, a sense of curiosity and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset are also a must.

This position is a full-time secondment/contract employment opportunity and is based in our Montreal, QC, or Toronto, ON, offices, in accordance with our new flexible Hybrid World work model.

Fully bilingual or working proficiency of French is essential in this role.

What you will do:

  • Oversee marketing and communication plans and associated initiatives from beginning to end. Assess the needs of each project, get buy-in, implement the plan, and measure impact.
  • Meet with business partners and internal teams to determine marketing and communications solutions to business challenges, and effectively manage priorities across multiple lines of business.
  • Develop and support a wide range of campaigns and programs with business partners and internal teams. Approaches should consider and include multimedia engagement, events and communications.
  • Write clear and engaging marketing and communications materials for a variety of audiences including employees, customers and brokers. Types of written content can include speaking notes, video scripts, articles, presentations, marketing materials and digital content.
  • Coordinate multi-platform content from start to finish, which may include written, video and audio content, social and digital.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and manage related budgets and reporting.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of in-person and virtual events for employees and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage the various communication channels used by the team.
  • Manage our merchandise orders and keep records of our existing supplies.
  • Advance the department's brand and image and promote the company's goals and objectives through all stakeholder communications.

  • Stellar writing skills.
  • A trusted advisor who develops strong relationships with internal business partners and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to build marketing and communications plans and manage associated initiatives from beginning to end.
  • Keen needs assessment of each project, getting buy-in, implementing the plan and measuring impact.
  • Proven experience planning and implementing marketing and communications projects, including events.
  • Ability to complete multiple assignments and function effectively in a high-volume workplace.
  • Creativity, a can-do attitude and solutions-oriented approach to everything you do.

Your skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a corporate marketing, communications, or agency environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in creating messaging for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience in creating marketing and communications plans (from research through to measurement and evaluation) and in designing specific content strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Excellent communications skills in person and in writing, with good presentation skills and comfort speaking to large groups.
  • Event planning and execution experience.
  • Proven ability to work with and create alignment among multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
  • Insurance industry experience an asset.
