Job Summary

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Compass Canada as a Cashier/Barista, where you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Respond to customers with a positive attitude, resolve concerns and complaints in a friendly and timely manner, and ensure that all interactions are professional and courteous.
  • Cash Handling: Manage cash transactions, verify cash drawers, give change, count cash receipts, and complete cash reports accurately and efficiently.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare soups, sandwiches, bagels, food, and drink as required, following standard procedures and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure compliance with company inventory and cash control procedures, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and provide support as needed.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrate excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Team Player: Be a team player who works productively with others, and is able to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
