Business System Analyst Job Description

Contribute to the success of HR & Compensation Technology group as a Business System Analyst, analyzing business requirements and ensuring program/project system needs are identified, configured, and delivered in line with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements and identify opportunities and risks
  • Conduct information gathering sessions and prepare detailed business system requirements
  • Configure SAP on premise system for payroll, benefit, pensions, time, and other modules
  • Assess, research, analyze, and document sponsor/stakeholder needs
  • Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies
  • Function as a liaison between business and developers
  • Develop system specifications and test plans
  • Elicit requirements needed to carry out business processes
  • Translate business needs into a workable system
  • Work closely with business architects and technology staff to deliver project results
  • Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching, and development to junior staff
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience working in medium to large size projects as a Business Analyst
  • Ability to analyze application integrations and facilitate discussions with HR business partners
  • Analyze and understand business data to support decision making
  • Evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, trend analysis, problem identification, and resolution skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of SAP configurations in Personnel Administration, Org Management, Benefits & Pensions, Time Management, and Payroll modules
  • Strong knowledge of SAP payroll schemas, rules, functions, and dynamic actions
  • Ability to read ABAP codes and debug ABAP programs
  • SAP and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Experience
  • Workday Understanding
