Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business System Analyst to join our HR & Compensation Technology team. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will contribute to various deliverables on new and/or annual projects related to HR technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements on assigned projects to ensure program/project system needs are identified, configured, and delivered in line with strategic goals or objectives.
  • Understand HR business and factors opportunities and risks into requirements, conduct information gathering sessions, and prepare detailed business system requirements.
  • Assess, research, analyze, and document sponsor/stakeholder needs, selecting appropriate information gathering and/or modeling techniques to solve problems.
  • Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Function as a liaison between the business and developers, walking stakeholders through requirements and managing expectations regarding scope.
  • Contribute to test case creation, ensuring that test cases are tightly integrated with requirements specifications.
  • Participate and work collaboratively within cross-functional project teams comprised of HRCT Teams, Business Partners, T&O IT Teams, and Vendors.
  • Develop system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies.
  • Elicit requirements needed to carry out business processes, including interviews and cross-functional workshops.
  • Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable system, articulating specific software requirements with technology experts and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results, implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables.
  • Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching, and development to build the capability of more junior staff, with a strong drive to learn.
Requirements
  • Proven experience (7+ years) working in medium to large-size projects in Agile or iterative waterfall project teams as a Business Analyst, with a university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to analyze application integrations and facilitate discussions with HR business partners to resolve issues and/or improve application performance.
  • Analyze and understand business data to support decision-making and effectively present information.
  • Evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions that meet needs while maintaining business standards.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong analytical, trend analysis, problem identification, and resolution skills.
  • Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of SAP configurations in all or most of Personnel Administration, Org Management, Benefits & Pensions, Time Management, and Payroll modules.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP payroll schemas, rules, functions, and dynamic actions.
  • Ability to read ABAP codes and debug ABAP programs or ability to work with technical resources to read ABAP codes and debug ABAP programs.
  • SAP and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) experience is an asset.
  • Workday understanding is a plus.
