We are currently seeking a Transfer Pricing Manager to join our tax practice in Toronto or Vancouver. We are looking for an individual who is committed to a career in taxation and has the desire to take a lead role in managing tax engagements and contributing both to the growth of the firm and our clients.

Our tax practice offers the opportunity to work in a range of tax and succession planning areas including estate & trust compliance, personal and corporate tax planning, purchase and sale of private businesses, estate planning, and cross border investment and compliance. We are interested in meeting candidates with experience in any of these areas.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Transfer Pricing Strategy:
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop transfer pricing policies aligning with the company's objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Analyze intercompany transactions, recommending appropriate pricing structures and methodologies.
    • Assist in advising on transfer pricing implications of strategic initiatives, such as restructurings and acquisitions.
    Transfer Pricing Compliance:
    • Oversee the preparation of transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Stay updated on transfer pricing regulations, implementing necessary changes in policies and documentation.
    • Support clients in responding to transfer pricing inquiries and audits from tax authorities.
    Intercompany Transactions:
    • Assess the arm's length nature of intercompany transactions, including tangible goods, services, and financing arrangements.
    • Assist in conducting benchmarking analyses and economic studies to support pricing decisions.
    • Work with clients to develop accurate intercompany agreements reflecting transaction terms and conditions.
    Risk Management:
    • Identify transfer pricing risks associated with intercompany transactions and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Assist in implementing advance pricing agreements (APAs) and other dispute resolution mechanisms to minimize risks.
    • Provide guidance on transfer pricing best practices and risk mitigation strategies to clients.
    Client Advisory:
    • Support multinational clients in transfer pricing matters, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    • Communicate transfer pricing concepts and recommendations to clients in a clear and tailored manner.
    • Assist in integrating transfer pricing solutions into clients' global tax planning efforts.
