**Security Guard Opportunity**
Provide security services to a healthcare organization in Thunder Bay, Ontario, ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
**Job Description**
As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for:
* Providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents
* Displaying excellent customer service skills and working with people under stress or in need of medical assistance
* Performing preventative and reactive duties, including interior and exterior patrols, and providing security escort services
* Providing Use of Force/Restraint as required and directed under the Mental Health Act
* Daily lock and unlock of facilities, and providing motor vehicle assistance to staff and visitors
* Keeping accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service
* Investigating and following up on incidents, and writing accurate reports
**Requirements**
* Diploma in Police Foundations, Protection Security & Investigations, Border Services, or Criminology (preferred)
* Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification
* Valid Ontario Security Guard License
* Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
* Proof of double COVID-19 Vaccination
* Proficient in English, both written and oral
* Vulnerable Sector Check

* Communicating clearly with clinical staff and the general public while conveying professionalism and authority
* Maintaining a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under pressure
* Writing clear, concise, and legible reports
