Job Description

SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is looking to hire a Field Support Engineer to be part of our dedicated team focused on the Rail sector, serving key locations like Boston, New York City, Washington DC, New Castle, and Philadelphia.

As a Field Support Engineer, your role involves supporting the field team in their daily tasks, encompassing a range of activities such as:

  • Troubleshooting, implementing modifications, carrying out repairs, and inspecting various engineering fields (mechanical, electrical, TCMS features, etc.)
  • Assisting the engineering department with on-field deployments
  • Collecting and analyzing data from diverse systems
  • Managing change requests and validating modifications
  • Utilizing soft skills to interact with internal customers, including the engineering department, customers, consultants, vendors, and installation contractors
  • Demonstrating strong technical knowledge across multiple systems
  • Providing field support for activities like testing, commissioning, and internal tests

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in testing Signaling, Train Control Systems, or related Rolling Stock products and system interfaces
  • Hands-on experience with various test equipment
  • Deep understanding of Rolling Stock products and system interfaces
  • Demonstrated railway safety awareness
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Assignments may involve working at unconventional hours, extended shifts, holidays, and weekends, with frequent changes in schedules. The role requires flexibility to work in different locations, with travel expenses covered.
