Pharmacy Assistant Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant and play a key role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient pharmacy operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving prescriptions from patients, assessing for completeness, and prioritizing according to 21st Century Guidelines
  • Performing computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist, including data entry, price checks, and patient information updates
  • Filling prescriptions under the Pharmacist's supervision, selecting products, and performing accuracy checks
  • Maintaining inventory control, assisting with ordering, and ensuring stock levels are adequate
  • Providing general housekeeping, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Assisting with OTC operations, ordering, and stocking
