About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team at Fuller Landau. As a Tax Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our team members and clients on Canadian taxation matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Tax Returns: Prepare a variety of tax returns, including personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns, as well as sales tax returns and information returns.
  • Assist with Tax Research: Assist with income tax and sales tax research for internal and external client needs.
  • Correspondence and Discussions: Assist with correspondences and engage in discussions with various tax authorities.
  • Documentation and Presentations: Compile necessary facts, analyze viable options, prepare documentation, and present conclusions in a complete, accurate, organized, and professional manner for internal and external client use.
  • Tax Planning: Assist Managers with tax planning for a variety of clients that involve domestic and international income tax and sales tax issues.
Requirements
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant coop or internship experience is an asset.
  • CPA Designation: Committed to obtaining a CPA designation.
  • University Degree: University degree with a specialization in accounting.
  • Software Skills: Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep is an asset.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
