Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at the Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for working on various resort projects, including the maintenance and repairs of staff residence buildings and resort lodges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the renovation and refurbishment of different locations within the resort.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance and record-keeping systems.
  • Observe and report any potential safety hazards.
  • Work as a team member and mentor junior carpenters as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining record-keeping and reporting of equipment status.
  • Perform other related duties, including minor tasks of other trades where certification is not required and the work does not exceed own limitations.
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Carpentry experience is essential.
  • A friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
  • Valid Driver's license (with abstract provided).
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Adhere to OH&S responsibility and requirements of the Building Maintenance Department.
  • Able to possess accurate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good physical condition as this position requires heavy lifting.
  • Able to work supervised & unsupervised.
  • Building envelope and roofing experience is an asset.
  • Able to prioritize tasks for efficiency.
  • Follow all LLSR policies and procedures.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.
  • A three-month probationary period applies.
  • A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment.
  • First aid certificate an asset.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 4 On/3 Off schedule, working 7:00am - 5:30pm. The hourly wage is $37.93.
