Job Description

Reports to: Department Head
Salary: (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Typically, one or two days per month
Status: Permanent, Part time

Position Summary

The Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking applications for a Clinical Associate (Physician) to care for adult survivors of childhood cancer. This role focuses on outpatient care within the Aftercare Clinic, providing essential health monitoring and support to this patient population.

Duties

  • Provide outpatient care for adult survivors of pediatric cancer within the Aftercare Clinic.
  • Serve as the primary doctor running the clinic one or two days per month.
  • Act as Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for approximately 20% of the patients enrolled in active follow-up.
  • Conduct clinical evaluations, order and interpret tests, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Supervise the work of residents and fellows attending the clinic.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a nurse practitioner, clinical fellow, psychologist (or social worker), and clinic nurse.
Qualifications
  • MD degree required.
  • Experience with cancer patients.
  • Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • General Practitioner - Oncology (GPO) certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence and collaborative teamwork.
  • Preference given to candidates with permanent residency or citizenship status in Canada.
