About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Operational Excellence to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global HR Services team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and operational excellence across all functional areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide process management support to optimize the overall efficiency of Global HR Services
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance employee experience and generate operational efficiencies and profitability
  • Use Lean and Six-Sigma principles to drive a robust service and operational excellence culture throughout Global HR
  • Ensure controls, compliance, and oversight mechanisms are in place to minimize risks
  • Assess and report on the quality of execution of Global HR, based on the established quality assurance program
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Operations, Science, or Engineering
  • Business acumen, information technology domain knowledge, and expertise in operational excellence
  • Lean and Six Sigma disciplines demonstrated through holding a formal designation (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Six Sigma Black Belt) is an asset
  • 3-5 years of leading operational excellence and/or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Structured thinking when solving problems and organizing work
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including superior listening and probing skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead change
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgment, initiative, and maintain confidentiality
